Torry and Sons Plumbing and Heating Ltd. was established in the Comox Valley in 1981. We have grown over the past 26 years into one of the most successful plumbing and heating companies on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
Torry and Sons is a fully integrated mechanical contracting operation providing plumbing, heating, sheet metal fabrication and fire protection solutions for projects ranging from single-family dwellings to multi-million dollar government and corporate facilities. This integration of our company provides an unequalled ability to co-ordinate and provide uniquely tailored solutions in the economy today.
We are proud to offer services throughout Vancouver Island, and have locations in Courtenay and Nanaimo, British Columbia. Currently, Torry and Sons employs over one hundred skilled trades people working in the areas of plumbing, heating and fire protection and is a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer.
Torry and Sons Company History:
In 1981, Bill Torry established Torry and Sons Plumbing & Heating. In the nineties, Scott Torry began as a Project Manager and Estimator in the plumbing department. Brian Farnham joined the expanding team as a Project Manager and Estimator for the heating department, and Torry and Sons opened up a Sheet Metal shop under the name of VI Mechanical. This allowed the company to have plumbing, heating and sheet metal fabrication side by side, allowing all divisions to work in a symbiotic relationship, in turn giving Torry and Sons a leading edge in the industry.
As the new millennium hit, Torry and Sons and VI Mechanical merged into one company to have an even greater advantage in the industry. As well, Torry and Sons acquired a Fire Protection business. This allowed for a fully integrated mechanical contracting company.
In the summer of 2006, ownership of the company changed over to Scott Torry and Brian Farnham. Their dedication and passion for the company will continue to keep Torry and Sons as the leading plumbing and heating company on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
